Almost There!

Howdy , Crows!

Here's what we've all been up to in the past week.

Jacinta has been working on the...

- Social media accounts maintainence and content production.

- Tweaking and improving the implementation of the NPC's profile pictures visible during in-game dialogue.

 - In said dialogue, Jacinta also switched out the default arrows in the options list of the dialogue to the sparkle icons.

Zac has been diligently working on...

- Creating cutscenes for each quest item to reveal each of their various hidden locations as well as to introduce Mush as the first NPC.

- Resolving issue #41 - which is a feature request to add a 'run' movement functionality to the player. This issue revolves around C# scripting to multiply the speed by a variable when a chosen key is pressed by the player.

Shiona has been working on...

- Fixing the audio levels so that the game's sounds are lovely to listen to and do not bombard or disorient the player.

- Editing a script to freeze the player's position transform during dialogue. This is important because previously the player could leave during the dialogue and break the mechanics. Additionally, being able to move during dialogue became very finicky when it came to selecting an option for a dialogue response.

- Helped and taught myself (Emily) how certain yarnspinner scripts worked for a task and then supervised my execution of said task.

Whereas I've been working on a variety of things like:

- Resolving issue #19 - which was the issue I needed Shiona's wisdom on. The issue was that the quest items wouldn't disappear upon collection. Shiona showed me where the C# scripting needs to be and how it interacts with yarnspinner so that way at a certain poin in the dialogue where the player collects each item, the C# scripting is activated. As for what action was triggered, I made it so that the item quickly shrunk and then becomes hidden - therefore, no longer interactable.

- Updating the team's wiki so that all the information on the "Home", "Introduction", "Asset list", "NPC Profiles & Quests" and "Unity Checklist" pages are accurate.

- And lastly, write this final blog post (from me anyway) where I say goodbye to all of you lovely people!
